Lisa Schumacher is a Work, Health & Safety, Employment, and Public Liability specialist with extensive experience gained in both private practice and international insurance companies.
Lisa advises clients on work, health and safety matters including investigations and prosecutions arising from notifiable incidents and reviews of improvement notices issued by WHS regulators. Additionally, she advises on employment law matters and has acted in many unfair dismissals, general protections applications, sexual harassment and discrimination claims, as well as complex employment contract claims in both Australia and New Zealand.
Beyond EPL, Lisa has significant experience in public liability matters, including defending personal injury and compensation for relatives claims against companies in the residential care, construction, property management and accommodation industries. Her broad experience and insurance-side experience gives Lisa a strong client focus and understanding of the practical needs of insurers and clients.
